Meri Mati Mera Desh Essay

Meri Maati Mera Desh is a nationwide people led Jan Bhagidari initiative to commemorate 75 years of independence of India. The Tagline for Meri Mati Mera Desh Campaign is 'Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan'. This theme is finale of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav programme which was started from 12th March 2021. Meri Maati Mera Desh celebrates many historical achievements of the nation. The campaign commemorate unsung heroes of freedom struggle and paying tribute to the 'Veers' who protect our nation.

Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign would be conducted from the level of Village Panchayat, Block, Urban Local body and State to National Level. This strengthens our bond towards nourishing our earth and honour our braves by doing the following simple actions;

Dedication of Shilaphalakam:- Installation of nameplates of veers in remembrance of Bravehearts
Taking the Panch Pran Pledge with a fistful of soil or earthen diya
Vasudha Vandan- Creation of Amrit Vatika with 75 saplings of indigenous trees collected across from the country;
Veeron Ka Vandan:- Honouring freedom fighters who protect the nation and families of braves/freedom fighters;
Hoisting of National Flag and singing of National Anthem- Jana Gana Mana

Celebrating Meri Mati Mera Desh under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Mitti from the villages of India will be collected at block level then finally capital along with volunteers from each block. These volunteers would be assemble at Kartavya Path and an Amrit Vatika would be planted in the Capital from these plants and the Hon'ble Prime Minister would administer the Panch Pran pledge to volunteers.
